“A man came to the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) and said: ‘I intend to undertake a journey, so give me provision. He said: ‘May Allah grant you Taqwa as your provision (Zawwadak Allahut-taqwa).’ He said: ‘Give me more.’ He said: ‘And may He forgive your sin (Wa ghafara dhanbak).’ He said: ‘Give me more, may my father be ransomed for you, and my mother.’ He said: ‘And may He make goodness easy for you wherever you are (Wa yassara lakal-khaira haithu ma kunt).’’”

Beliau mengatakan: "Semoga Allah memberimu bekal ketakwaan." Orang-orang tersebut berkata; tambahlah! Beliau berkata: "Dan semoga Dia mengampuni dosamu." Ia berkata; tambahlah! Beliau mengatakan: "Semoga Dia memudahkan untukmu segala kebaikan dimanapun engkau berada."

Enes (r.a.)’den rivâyete göre, şöyle demiştir: Bir adam Rasûlullah (s.a.v.)’e geldi ve şöyle dedi: Ey Allah’ın Rasûlü! Ben yolculuğa çıkmak istiyorum bana hayır duâ et. Rasûlullah (s.a.v.)’de: “Allah azığını takva etsin yani her zaman ve yolculuk boyunca yolunu Allah’ın mesajıyla bulmaya çalış.”

Adam biraz daha bir şeyler söyle dedi: Rasûlullah (s.a.v.): “Allah günahını bağışlasın” buyurdu. Adam: “Anam babam senin uğruna feda olsun biraz daha bir şeyler söyle” deyince Rasûlullah (s.a.v.): “Nerede olursan ol. Allah sana hayrı kolay getirsin.”

What it means

Anas ibn Mālik (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that a man wanted to travel, so he came to the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) to ask for his permission and to seek provision. Therefore, the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) supplicated for him, so that his supplication would serve as a provision for the man.

The man's provision was for him to observe religious commands and avoid prohibitions. The man asked for more, anticipating more blessings. So the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) gladdened his heart with supplicating Allah to forgive his sins. The man asked for more, anticipating more blessings. So the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) made a final supplication that invokes both righteousness and success.

He supplicated Allah to make good things of the worldly life and the Hereafter easy for this man wherever and whenever he happens to be.
