حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ وَزِيرٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَجْلَانَ، عَنْ سُمَىٍّ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا عَطَسَ غَطَّى وَجْهَهُ بِيَدِهِ أَوْ بِثَوْبِهِ وَغَضَّ بِهَا صَوْتَهُ

That when the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) would sneeze, he would cover his face with his hand or with his garment, and muffle the sound with it.

আবূ হুরাইরাহ (রাযিঃ) হতে বর্ণিত আছে যে, নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম যখন হাঁচি দিতেন, তখন তার হাত কিংবা কাপড় দ্বারা মুখ ঢেকে রাখতেন এবং এর মাধ্যমে তার আওয়াজ নীচু করতেন। হাসান সহীহঃ রাওযুন নায়ীর (১১০৯)। আবূ ঈসা বলেন, এ হাদীসটি হাসান সহীহ।

ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو جب چھینک آتی تھی تو اپنے ہاتھ سے یا اپنے کپڑے سے منہ ڈھانپ لیتے، اور اپنی آواز کو دھیمی کرتے ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے۔

Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Muhammad bin Wazir Al Washiti] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Yahya bin Sa'id] dari [Muhammad bin 'Ajlan] dari [Sumaiya] dari [Abu Shalih] dari [Abu Hurairah] bahwa apabila Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersin, beliau menutup wajahnya dengan tangan atau kainnya sambil merendahkan suaranya." Abu Isa berkata; Hadits ini hasan shahih

What it means

What it teaches

• Demonstrating the Prophet's guidance concerning sneezing and following his example in that.
• It is recommended to put a garment, tissue paper, or the like over one's mouth and nose when sneezing lest something should come out and hurt those around him.
• Lowering the voice while sneezing is required and is a sign of perfect manners and noble morals.
