أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، قَالَ: أَنْبَأَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، وَمُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ أَيْمَنَ بْنِ أُمِّ أَيْمَنَ

يَرْفَعُهُ قَالَ: «لَا تُقْطَعُ الْيَدُ إِلاَّ فِي ثَمَنِ الْمِجَنِّ». وَثَمَنُهُ يَوْمَئِذٍ دِينَارٌ

Ayman ibn Umm Ayman who attributed it to the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said: “The (hand of) a thief is not to be cut off except for the price of a shield, and in those days the price of a shield was a Dinar.”

আলী ইবন হুজর (রহঃ) ... আয়মান ইবন উম্মে আয়মান থেকে বর্ণিত। রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেনঃ ঢালের মূল্য ব্যতীত হাত কাটা যাবে না। আর তখন এর মূল্য ছিল এক দীনার।
