The Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) used to teach us the Qur’an except when he was in a state of sexual impurity.
وَعَنْ عَلِيٍّ رضى الله عنه
قَالَ: «كَانَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُقْرِئُنَا اَلْقُرْآنَ مَا لَمْ يَكُنْ جُنُبًا»
