حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ

قَالَتْ كُنَّا لَا نَعُدُّ الْكُدْرَةَ وَالصُّفْرَةَ شَيْئًا

We never considered yellowish discharge as a thing of importance (as menses).

উম্মু আতিয়্যা (রাঃ) থেকে বর্ণিতঃ তিনি বলেনঃ আমরা মেটে ও হলুদ রং হায়েযের মধ্যে গণ্য করতাম না।

ہم سے قتیبہ بن سعید نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے اسماعیل بن علیہ نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے ایوب سختیانی سے، وہ محمد بن سیرین سے، وہ ام عطیہ سے، آپ نے فرمایا کہ ہم زرد اور مٹیالے رنگ کو کوئی اہمیت نہیں دیتی تھیں۔

What it means

What it teaches

• The fluid discharged from a woman's vagina - after attaining purity from menses - is of no significance even if it looks brownish or yellowish out of the traces derived from the blood.
• The brownish and yellowish discharge during the usual menstruation period is considered menses because it is blood during the normal bleeding period but it is mixed with fluid.
• A woman must not refrain from praying or fasting because of the brownish and yellowish discharge after attaining purity from menses; rather, she should make ablution and offer prayer.
