حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ، (يَعْنِي الإِسْكَنْدَرَانِيَّ) عَنْ عَمْرٍو، عَنِ الْمُطَّلِبِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

رَحِمَهَا اللَّهُ قَالَتْ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «إِنَّ الْمُؤْمِنَ لَيُدْرِكُ بِحُسْنِ خُلُقِهِ دَرَجَةَ الصَّائِمِ الْقَائِمِ»

Ummul Muminin: The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said: By his good character a believer will attain the degree of one who prays during the night and fasts during the day.

আয়িশাহ (রাঃ) সূত্রে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেন, আমি রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-কে বলতে শুনেছিঃ নিশ্চয়ই মু‘মিন ব্যক্তি তার ভালো চরিত্রের মাধ্যমে (দিনের) সওম পালনকারী ও (রাতের) তাহাজ্জুদ গুজারীর সমান মর্যাদা লাভ করতে পারে।[1] সহীহ।

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے سنا: مومن اپنی خوش اخلاقی سے روزے دار اور رات کو قیام کرنے والے کا درجہ پا لیتا ہے ۔

Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Qutaibah bin Sa'id] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami [Ya'qub] -maksudnya Ya'qub Al Iskandarani- dari [Amru] dari [Al Muthallib] dari ['Aisyah] ia berkata, "Aku mendengar Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Sesungguhnya seorang mukmin akan mendapatkan kedudukan ahli puasa dan shalat dengan ahlak baiknya

Aişe (r.anhâ)'dan (rivayet edilmiştir); dedi ki: Rasûlulah (s.a.v.)'i (şöyle) derken işittim: "Muhakkak ki mu'min, ahlâkının güzelliği sebebi île (gündüzleri) oruç tutan (ve geceleri de) Allah'a ibâdetle geçiren kimsenin derecesine ulaşır

What it teaches

• The Hadīth shows that Islam gives great attention to refining and perfecting manners.
• It highlights the merit of good manners, so much so that a well-mannered person can reach the level of one who fasts continuously and prays relentlessly.
• Fasting during the day and praying during the night are two great acts of worship that involve hardship for those who perform them. However, this level can be reached by a well-mannered person, for he engages in self-struggle to assume noble manners.
