The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) saw a man that he was supported between his sons. He asked about him, and (the people) said: He has taken a vow to walk (on foot). Thereupon he said: Allah has no need that this man should punish himself, and he ordered him to ride.

Enes b. Mâlik (r.a)'den rivayet edildiğine göre; Rasûlullah (s.a.v.), iki oğlunun arasında götürülen bir adam görüp durumunu sordu. Yürümeyi adadı, dediler. Bunun üzerine Hz. Nebi: "Şüphesiz Allah bunun nefsine azab etmesine muhtaç değildir/' buyurdu ve (bir şeye) binmesini emretti. Ebû Dâvûd dedi ki: Bu hadisin benzerini Amr b. Ebî Amr, A’rac'dan, o da Ebû Hureyre vasıtasıyla Hz. Nebi'den rivayet etmiştir
