“A tailor invited the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) to a meal he had made, so I went with the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) to that meal. He presented the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) with some barley-bread and broth containing a gourd and jerked meat. Then I saw the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) looking for chunks of gourd all around the bowl, and and I’ve loved gourd ever since.”
