حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ هِلالٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ

قَالَ: أَخْرَجَتْ إِلَيْنَا عَائِشَةُ، كِسَاءً مُلَبَّدًا، وَإِزَارًا غَلِيظًا، فَقَالَتْ: قُبِضَ رُوحُ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فِي هَذَيْنِ

“Aishah (may Allah be well pleased with her) brought out to us a tangled garment and a coarse loincloth, then she said: ‘The spirit of the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) was taken in these two’.”
