وعنه قال: أقيمت الصلاة، فأقبل علينا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بوجهه فقال: «أقيموا صفوفكم وتراصوا، فإني أراكم من وراء ظهري» وفي رواية للبخاري: وكان أحدنا يلزق منكبه بمنكب صاحبه وقدمه بقدمه
When the Iqamah had been announced, the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) turned his face towards us and said: “Make your rows straight and stand close together, for I can see you from behind my back.”.
