حَدَّثَنِي الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْحُلْوَانِيُّ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ التَّمِيمِيُّ، (وَاللَّفْظُ لِحَسَنٍ) حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو غَسَّانَ، حَدَّثَنِي زَيْدُ بْنُ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ

أَنَّهُ قَالَ قَدِمَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِسَبْىٍ فَإِذَا امْرَأَةٌ مِنَ السَّبْىِ تَبْتَغِي إِذَا وَجَدَتْ صَبِيًّا فِي السَّبْىِ أَخَذَتْهُ فَأَلْصَقَتْهُ بِبَطْنِهَا وَأَرْضَعَتْهُ فَقَالَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «أَتَرَوْنَ هَذِهِ الْمَرْأَةَ طَارِحَةً وَلَدَهَا فِي النَّارِ».

قُلْنَا لَا وَاللَّهِ وَهِيَ تَقْدِرُ عَلَى أَنْ لَا تَطْرَحَهُ. فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَلَّهُ أَرْحَمُ بِعِبَادِهِ مِنْ هَذِهِ بِوَلَدِهَا»

There were brought some prisoners to the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) amongst whom there was also a woman, who was searching (for someone) and when she found a child amongst the prisoners, she took hold of it, pressed it against her chest and provided it suck. Thereupon the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said: Do you think this woman would ever afford to throw her child in the Fire?

We said: By Allah, so far as it lies in her power, she would never throw the child in Fire. ‘ Thereupon the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said: Allah is more kind to His servants than this woman is to her child.’

মুহাম্মাদ ইবনু কুদামাহ ও ইয়াহইয়া ইবনু লু'লু'য়ী (রহিমাহুমাল্লাহ) ..... আবদুল্লাহ ইবনু হানী ইবনু আখী মুতাররিফ থেকে এ সানাদে অনুরূপ হাদীস বর্ণনা করেছেন।

نضر نے ہمیں خبر دی ( کہا ) ہمیں شعبہ نے خبر دی ( کہا ) ہمیں مطرف کے بھتیجے عبد اللہ بن ہانی نے اسی سند کے ساتھ اس ( سابقہ حدیث ) کے مانند حدیث روایت کی ۔

What it teaches

• Allah's vast mercy towards His servants, and that He wants for them goodness, Paradise, and salvation from Hellfire.
• Benefiting from events and linking them to guidance and teaching.
• A believer should have good expectations of Allah and not despair, as long as he fears Allah and remains steadfast in his religion, for Allah Almighty is the Possessor of vast mercy.
