Anas said the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) forbade men to use saffron. (Mirqat, iv, 461, says this applies to their clothing and their bodies, as it is a female custom but does not prohibit a small use of it.)
وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ
قَالَ: نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أَنْ يَتَزَعْفَرَ الرَّجُلُ
