The Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said:, “None of you must take his brother’s staff jestingly with the intention of causing annoyance. Anyone who takes his brother’s staff must return it to him.” Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud transmitted it, the latter’s version ending at “causing annoyance.”
