وَعَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عبدِ اللَّه سُئِلَ عَنْ رُكُوبِ الْهَدْيِ
فَقَالَ: سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «ارْكَبْهَا بِالْمَعْرُوفِ إِذَا أُلْجِئْتَ إِلَيْهَا حَتَّى تَجِدَ ظَهْرًا»
Abuz Zubair said he heard Jabir ibn Abdallah being asked about riding sacrificial animals, to which he replied that he had heard the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) say, “Ride on them gently when you have nothing else, till you find a mount.”
