The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said: “The Muadhdhin has more right to pronounce the Iqamah.”.
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رضى الله عنه
قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ -«اَلْمُؤَذِّنُ أَمْلَكُ بِالْأَذَانِ، وَالْإِمَامُ أَمْلَكُ بِالْإِقَامَةِ» رَوَاهُ اِبْنُ عَدِيٍّ وَضَعَّفَهُ. 11 ضعيف
The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said: “The Muadhdhin has more right to pronounce the Iqamah.”.
The noble Hadīth explains that the Muezzin is more entitled to determine the time of calling the Adhān, and that the Imām is more entitled to determine the time of calling the Iqāmah.
