Sahih al-Bukhari 459

When the verses of Surat “Al-Baqara” about the usury Riba were revealed, the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) went to the mosque and recited them in front of the people and then banned the trade of alcohol.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

قَالَتْ لَمَّا أُنْزِلَ الآيَاتُ مِنْ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ فِي الرِّبَا، خَرَجَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ، فَقَرَأَهُنَّ عَلَى النَّاسِ، ثُمَّ حَرَّمَ تِجَارَةَ الْخَمْرِ

‘আয়িশাহ (রাযি.) হতে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেনঃ সুদ সম্পর্কীয় সূরাহ্ বাকারাহর আয়াতসমূহ অবতীর্ণ হলে নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম মসজিদে গিয়ে সে সব আয়াত সাহাবীগণকে পাঠ করে শুনালেন। অতঃপর তিনি মদের ব্যবসা হারাম করে দিলেন। (২০৮৪, ২২২৬, ৪৫৪০, ৪৫৪১, ৪৫৪২, ৪৫৪৩; মুসলিম ২২/১২, হাঃ ১৫৮০, আহমাদ ২৬৪৩৪)

ہم سے عبدان بن عبداللہ بن عثمان نے ابوحمزہ محمد بن میمون کے واسطہ سے بیان کیا، انہوں نے اعمش سے، انہوں نے مسلم سے، انہوں نے مسروق سے، انہوں نے عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے۔ آپ فرماتی ہیں کہ جب سورۃ البقرہ کی سود سے متعلق آیات نازل ہوئیں تو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم مسجد میں تشریف لے گئے اور ان آیات کی لوگوں کے سامنے تلاوت فرمائی۔ پھر فرمایا کہ شراب کی تجارت حرام ہے۔

Telah menceritakan kepada kami ['Abdan] dari [Abu Hamzah] dari [Al A'masy] dari [Muslim] dari [Masruq] dari ['Aisyah] berkata, "Ketika turun ayat-ayat dalam Surah Al Baqarah tentang masalah riba, Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam keluar ke masjid lalu membacakan ayat-ayat tersebut kepada manusia. Kemudian beliau mengharamkan perdagangan khamer

Âişe (r.anha)'dan şöyle nakledilmiştir: "Faiz konusunda el-Bakara süresindeki âyetler nazil olduktan sonra Nebi Sallallahu Aleyhi ve Sellem Mescİd-İ Nebevî'ye çıkıp hemen bu ayetleri ashabına okudu. Sonra da şarap ticaretini haram kıldı. Tekrar:

What it means

Allah, the Exalted, tests His slaves with many types of trials, so that they will invoke Him alone and remember Him. So, when the earth became barren during the lifetime of the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) he went out with the people toward the place where Eid prayer is performed in the desert to ask for rain from Allah, the Exalted, and in order to show more humbleness and need to Allah, the Exalted.

So, he faced the direction of Qiblah, where supplication is more likely to be answered, and began to invoke Allah to send down rain for the Muslims and to remove the drought that afflicted them. Out of optimism that their situation would change from drought and hardship to fertility and life of ease, he turned his upper garment inside out, then led the people in Istisqā' prayer.

The prayer consisted of two Rak‘ahs in which his recitation of the Qur'an was out loud, because it was a largely congregational prayer.
