حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ حَفِظْنَاهُ مِنَ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رضى الله عنه عَنِ

النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «أَسْرِعُوا بِالْجِنَازَةِ، فَإِنْ تَكُ صَالِحَةً فَخَيْرٌ تُقَدِّمُونَهَا «إِلَيْهِ»، وَإِنْ يَكُ سِوَى ذَلِكَ فَشَرٌّ تَضَعُونَهُ عَنْ رِقَابِكُمْ»

The Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said, “Hurry up with the dead body for if it was righteous, you are forwarding it to welfare; and if it was otherwise, then you are putting off an evil thing down your necks.”

আবূ হুরাইরাহ্ (রাঃ) সূত্রে নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম হতে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেন, তোমরা জানাযা নিয়ে দ্রুতগতিতে চলবে। কেননা, সে যদি পুণ্যবান হয়, তবে এটা উত্তম, যার দিকে তোমরা তাকে এগিয়ে দিচ্ছ আর যদি সে অন্য কিছু হয়, তবে সে একটি আপদ, যাকে তোমরা তোমাদের ঘাড় হতে জলদি নামিয়ে ফেলছ। (মুসলিম ১১/১৬, হাঃ ৯৪৪, আহমাদ ১০৩৩৬)

ہم سے علی بن عبداللہ مدینی نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا کہ ہم سے سفیان نے بیان کیا ‘ انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم نے زہری سے سن کر یہ حدیث یاد کی ‘ انہوں نے سعید بن مسیب سے اور انہوں نے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ جنازہ لے کر جلد چلا کرو کیونکہ اگر وہ نیک ہے تو تم اس کو بھلائی کی طرف نزدیک کر رہے ہو اور اگر اس کے سوا ہے تو ایک شر ہے جسے تم اپنی گردنوں سے اتارتے ہو۔

Telah menceritakan kepada kami ['Ali bin 'Abdullah] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Sufyan] berkata, kami menghafalnya dari [Az Zuhriy] dari [Sa'id bin Al Musayyab] dari [Abu Hurairah radliallahu 'anhu] dari Nabi Shallallahu'alaihiwasallam bersabda: "Bercepat-cepatlah membawa jenazah, karena bila jenazah itu dari orang shalih berarti kalian telah mempercepat kebaikan untuknya dan jika tidak, berarti kalian telah menyingkirkan kejelekan dari pundak kalian

Ebu Hureyre r.a. Nebi Sallallahu Aleyhi ve Sellem'den şunu rivayet etmiştir: "Cenazeyi hızlıca (kabrine götürünüz). Şayet ölü iyi bir kimse ise bu bir hayırdır, onu bir an önce (kabirde kendisine vaad edilen hayra) kavuşturmuş olursunuz. Şayet iyi bir kimse değil ise bu da bir şerdir, bir an önce omuzunuzdan atmış olursunuz

What it teaches

• Ibn Hajar said: It is recommended to hasten, but in a manner that does not lead to excessive speed that might cause harm to the deceased or difficulty for those carrying or accompanying the funeral.
• Hastening is conditional upon the death not being sudden, where there is a fear it might be a case of fainting; in such situations, burial should be delayed until death is confirmed. Additionally, a slight delay is permissible for a valid reason, such as allowing more people to attend the prayer or for the arrival of relatives, provided there is no concern about the body deterioration.
• The encouragement to hasten the funeral is for the benefit of the deceased if he is blissful or for the benefit of those who follow it if he is wretched.
• An-Nawawi said: This implies avoidance of the company of idle and unrighteous individuals.
