حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ نُمَيْرِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَاهُ

يَقُولُ: «كَانُوا يَقُولُونَ: الصَّلَاحُ مِنَ اللهِ، وَالأَدَبُ مِنَ الآبَاءِ»

“They used to say, ‘Correct action is a gift from Allah, but adab comes from the parents.’”
