حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، وَابْنُ يُوسُفَ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ الْهَادِ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو مَوْلَى الْمُطَّلِبِ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ
قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: إِذَا ابْتَلَيْتُهُ بِحَبِيبَتَيْهِ، يُرِيدُ عَيْنَيْهِ، ثُمَّ صَبَرَ عَوَّضْتُهُ الْجَنَّةَ»
“I heard the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say that Allah Almighty said, ‘When I test him in his two precious ones (i.e. his eyes) and he is steadfast, I will repay him with the Garden.’”
