حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، وَيَحْيَى بْنُ مُوسَى، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا شَبَابَةُ بْنُ سَوَّارٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ

قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: لَا يَنَامُ حَتَّى يَقْرَأَ: «الم تَنْزِيلُ» وَ: «تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ الْمُلْكُ»

“The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), may Allah bless him and grant him peace, did not sleep until he had recited, ‘Alif-Lam-Mim. The Sending-down’ (32) and ‘Blessed is the One in whose hand the kingdom is’ (67).”
