The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) caught his hand and said: By Allah, I love you, Muadh. I give some instruction to you. Never leave to recite this supplication after every (prescribed) prayer: “O Allah, help me in remembering You, in giving You thanks, and worshipping You well.” Muadh willed this supplication to the narrator al-Sunabihi and al-Sunabihi to ‘Abu Abd al-Rahman.’

Muaz b. Cebel (r.a.)'den rivayet edildiğine göre, Resulullah (s.a.v.) onun elini tutup: "Ya Muaz! Vallahi seni seviyorum. Sana bir şeyler tavsiye edeyim, onları her (farz) namazın sonunda oku, kat'iyyen terk etme": "Allah'ım! Seni zikretmekte, sana şükretmekte ve sana güzelce ibâdet etmekte bana yardım et" dersin" buyurdu. Ahmed b. Hanbel, V, 245; İbn Hıbban, Sahih, III, 234; Hakim el-Müstedrek I, 273.
