Qur'an 8:68
لَّوْلَا كِتَٰبٌ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ سَبَقَ لَمَسَّكُمْ فِيمَآ أَخَذْتُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ
Translation
If not for a decree from Allah that preceded, you would have been touched for what you took by a great punishment.
