75:1I swear by the Day of Resurrectionلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِيَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ75:1لَآ أُقْسِمُ بِيَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ
I swear by the Day of Resurrection
75:2And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection].وَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِٱلنَّفْسِ ٱللَّوَّامَةِ75:2وَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِٱلنَّفْسِ ٱللَّوَّامَةِ
And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection].
75:3Does man think that We will not assemble his bones?أَيَحْسَبُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ أَلَّن نَّجْمَعَ عِظَامَهُ75:3أَيَحْسَبُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ أَلَّن نَّجْمَعَ عِظَامَهُ
Does man think that We will not assemble his bones?
75:4Yes. [We are] Able [even] to proportion his fingertips.بَلَىٰ قَٰدِرِينَ عَلَىٰٓ أَن نُّسَوِّىَ بَنَانَهُ75:4بَلَىٰ قَٰدِرِينَ عَلَىٰٓ أَن نُّسَوِّىَ بَنَانَهُ
Yes. [We are] Able [even] to proportion his fingertips.
75:5But man desires to continue in sin.بَلْ يُرِيدُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ لِيَفْجُرَ أَمَامَهُ75:5بَلْ يُرِيدُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ لِيَفْجُرَ أَمَامَهُ
But man desires to continue in sin.
75:6He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?"يَسْـَٔلُ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ75:6يَسْـَٔلُ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ
He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?"
75:7So when vision is dazzledفَإِذَا بَرِقَ ٱلْبَصَرُ75:7فَإِذَا بَرِقَ ٱلْبَصَرُ
So when vision is dazzled
75:8And the moon darkensوَخَسَفَ ٱلْقَمَرُ75:8وَخَسَفَ ٱلْقَمَرُ
And the moon darkens
75:9And the sun and the moon are joined,وَجُمِعَ ٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ75:9وَجُمِعَ ٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ
And the sun and the moon are joined,
75:10Man will say on that Day, "Where is the [place of] escape?"يَقُولُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ يَوْمَئِذٍ أَيْنَ ٱلْمَفَرُّ75:10يَقُولُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ يَوْمَئِذٍ أَيْنَ ٱلْمَفَرُّ
Man will say on that Day, "Where is the [place of] escape?"
75:11No! There is no refuge.كَلَّا لَا وَزَرَ75:11كَلَّا لَا وَزَرَ
No! There is no refuge.
75:12To your Lord, that Day, is the [place of] permanence.إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ ٱلْمُسْتَقَرُّ75:12إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ ٱلْمُسْتَقَرُّ
To your Lord, that Day, is the [place of] permanence.
75:13Man will be informed that Day of what he sent ahead and kept back.يُنَبَّؤُا ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ يَوْمَئِذٍ بِمَا قَدَّمَ وَأَخَّرَ75:13يُنَبَّؤُا ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ يَوْمَئِذٍ بِمَا قَدَّمَ وَأَخَّرَ
Man will be informed that Day of what he sent ahead and kept back.
75:14Rather, man, against himself, will be a witness,بَلِ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِ بَصِيرَةٌ75:14بَلِ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِ بَصِيرَةٌ
Rather, man, against himself, will be a witness,
75:15Even if he presents his excuses.وَلَوْ أَلْقَىٰ مَعَاذِيرَهُ75:15وَلَوْ أَلْقَىٰ مَعَاذِيرَهُ
Even if he presents his excuses.
75:16Move not your tongue with it, [O Muhammad], to hasten with recitation of the Qur'an.لَا تُحَرِّكْ بِهِ لِسَانَكَ لِتَعْجَلَ بِهِٓ75:16لَا تُحَرِّكْ بِهِ لِسَانَكَ لِتَعْجَلَ بِهِٓ
Move not your tongue with it, [O Muhammad], to hasten with recitation of the Qur'an.
75:17Indeed, upon Us is its collection [in your heart] and [to make possible] its recitation.إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا جَمْعَهُ وَقُرْءَانَهُ75:17إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا جَمْعَهُ وَقُرْءَانَهُ
Indeed, upon Us is its collection [in your heart] and [to make possible] its recitation.
75:18So when We have recited it [through Gabriel], then follow its recitation.فَإِذَا قَرَأْنَٰهُ فَٱتَّبِعْ قُرْءَانَهُ75:18فَإِذَا قَرَأْنَٰهُ فَٱتَّبِعْ قُرْءَانَهُ
So when We have recited it [through Gabriel], then follow its recitation.
75:19Then upon Us is its clarification [to you].ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا بَيَانَهُ75:19ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا بَيَانَهُ
Then upon Us is its clarification [to you].
75:20No! But you love the immediateكَلَّا بَلْ تُحِبُّونَ ٱلْعَاجِلَةَ75:20كَلَّا بَلْ تُحِبُّونَ ٱلْعَاجِلَةَ
No! But you love the immediate
75:21And leave the Hereafter.وَتَذَرُونَ ٱلْءَاخِرَةَ75:21وَتَذَرُونَ ٱلْءَاخِرَةَ
And leave the Hereafter.
75:22[Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant,وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَّاضِرَةٌ75:22وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَّاضِرَةٌ
[Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant,
75:23Looking at their Lord.إِلَىٰ رَبِّهَا نَاظِرَةٌ75:23إِلَىٰ رَبِّهَا نَاظِرَةٌ
Looking at their Lord.
75:24And [some] faces, that Day, will be contorted,وَوُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ بَاسِرَةٌ75:24وَوُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ بَاسِرَةٌ
And [some] faces, that Day, will be contorted,
75:25Expecting that there will be done to them [something] backbreaking.تَظُنُّ أَن يُفْعَلَ بِهَا فَاقِرَةٌ75:25تَظُنُّ أَن يُفْعَلَ بِهَا فَاقِرَةٌ
Expecting that there will be done to them [something] backbreaking.
75:26No! When the soul has reached the collar bonesكَلَّآ إِذَا بَلَغَتِ ٱلتَّرَاقِىَ75:26كَلَّآ إِذَا بَلَغَتِ ٱلتَّرَاقِىَ
No! When the soul has reached the collar bones
75:27And it is said, "Who will cure [him]?"وَقِيلَ مَنْ رَاقٍ75:27وَقِيلَ مَنْ رَاقٍ
And it is said, "Who will cure [him]?"
75:28And the dying one is certain that it is the [time of] separationوَظَنَّ أَنَّهُ ٱلْفِرَاقُ75:28وَظَنَّ أَنَّهُ ٱلْفِرَاقُ
And the dying one is certain that it is the [time of] separation
75:29And the leg is wound about the leg,وَٱلْتَفَّتِ ٱلسَّاقُ بِٱلسَّاقِ75:29وَٱلْتَفَّتِ ٱلسَّاقُ بِٱلسَّاقِ
And the leg is wound about the leg,
75:30To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession.إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ ٱلْمَسَاقُ75:30إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ ٱلْمَسَاقُ
To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession.
75:31And the disbeliever had not believed, nor had he prayed.فَلَا صَدَّقَ وَلَا صَلَّىٰ75:31فَلَا صَدَّقَ وَلَا صَلَّىٰ
And the disbeliever had not believed, nor had he prayed.
75:32But [instead], he denied and turned away.وَلَٰكِن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ75:32وَلَٰكِن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ
But [instead], he denied and turned away.
75:33And then he went to his people, swaggering [in pride].ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِ يَتَمَطَّىٰٓ75:33ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِ يَتَمَطَّىٰٓ
And then he went to his people, swaggering [in pride].
75:34Woe to you, and woe!أَوْلَىٰ لَكَ فَأَوْلَىٰ75:34أَوْلَىٰ لَكَ فَأَوْلَىٰ
Woe to you, and woe!
75:35Then woe to you, and woe!ثُمَّ أَوْلَىٰ لَكَ فَأَوْلَىٰٓ75:35ثُمَّ أَوْلَىٰ لَكَ فَأَوْلَىٰٓ
Then woe to you, and woe!
75:36Does man think that he will be left neglected?أَيَحْسَبُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ أَن يُتْرَكَ سُدًى75:36أَيَحْسَبُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ أَن يُتْرَكَ سُدًى
Does man think that he will be left neglected?
75:37Had he not been a sperm from semen emitted?أَلَمْ يَكُ نُطْفَةً مِّن مَّنِىٍّ يُمْنَىٰ75:37أَلَمْ يَكُ نُطْفَةً مِّن مَّنِىٍّ يُمْنَىٰ
Had he not been a sperm from semen emitted?
75:38Then he was a clinging clot, and [Allah] created [his form] and proportioned [him]ثُمَّ كَانَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ75:38ثُمَّ كَانَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ
Then he was a clinging clot, and [Allah] created [his form] and proportioned [him]
75:39And made of him two mates, the male and the female.فَجَعَلَ مِنْهُ ٱلزَّوْجَيْنِ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلْأُنثَىٰٓ75:39فَجَعَلَ مِنْهُ ٱلزَّوْجَيْنِ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلْأُنثَىٰٓ
And made of him two mates, the male and the female.
75:40Is not that [Creator] Able to give life to the dead?أَلَيْسَ ذَٰلِكَ بِقَٰدِرٍ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يُحِْىَ…75:40أَلَيْسَ ذَٰلِكَ بِقَٰدِرٍ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يُحِْىَ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ
Is not that [Creator] Able to give life to the dead?
