Qur'an 3:127
لِيَقْطَعَ طَرَفًا مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا أَوْ يَكْبِتَهُمْ فَيَنقَلِبُوا خَآئِبِينَ
Translation
That He might cut down a section of the disbelievers or suppress them so that they turn back disappointed.
